Their Love Story
Rebecca and Shane’s journey began with eight years of working closely together, building a strong bond rooted in respect and trust. That connection took an unexpected turn when Shane realised his true feelings for Rebecca after comforting her during a difficult moment. From there, the pair grew inseparable, with Rebecca cheekily admitting she made the first move! Today, they cherish their time together, counting down the seconds until Shane returns home from his work trips every week.

Choosing an Intimate Wedding
The couple originally envisioned a picturesque wedding in Austria with only a few close guests, set for a few years down the line. However, when Rebecca’s beloved aunt was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, they decided to bring their plans forward and choose a venue closer to home so she could attend. Tragically, her aunt passed away a few weeks before the wedding, but Rebecca was certain her spirit was with them on their special day.

Why Tree Top Escape?
Rebecca and Shane’s dream was to recreate the enchanting, Christmas-like atmosphere they loved about Austria—full of twinkling lights, cosiness, and snow. When they saw the Grill Haus at Tree Top Escape, it sealed the deal. It was everything they envisioned: a warm, intimate space reminiscent of an Austrian retreat.

The Planning Experience
Planning the wedding was a joy for Rebecca, who did most of it herself while Shane happily agreed with her ideas. The process was smooth, and they enjoyed every moment leading up to the big day.

A Perfect Wedding Day
Rebecca and Shane chose to arrive at Tree Top Escape a few days before their wedding, and they highly recommend this to other couples. Staying at the venue beforehand made it feel like their own special space, helping them relax and enjoy the experience without the rush.
Their mid-afternoon ceremony was set perfectly to capture the dusky light and the glow of fairy lights. In a unique twist, the couple had their photos taken before the ceremony, with Rebecca wearing a striking red ‘before’ dress that Shane assumed was her wedding dress. The surprise on his face when she reappeared in her white gown for the ceremony was unforgettable—a memory Rebecca will cherish forever.
