"Unique", "Exclusive", and "one of a kind" are just some of the words guests have used to describe our very small wedding venue, "The Nest" at Tree Top Escape.

The Nest is approached via a wooden walkway which doubles as a very romantic and picturesque aisle. Inside, calm and muted colours give way to the dramatic floor to ceiling glass doors on two sides which can be fully opened. This, together with the wrap-around clear glass balustrade, gives an illusion of floating above the trees - an apt feeling for your special day, we think you'll agree. You can enjoy a wedding for you and your partner (we are always happy to be a witness) or invite up to 14 guests. With doors opened or closed, whatever the season, the glorious countryside provides an exceptional natural backdrop to your unique destination wedding.

Enjoy a ceremony only wedding at Tree Top Escape on a Monday or Friday. Exclusive use of the Nest, Meadow room and grounds for photos between 10 am and 3 pm.

Our Pricing

An exclusive ceremony only wedding for two, including a Devon Cream Tea and Champagne toast costs from £999

Please note Bank Holidays in 2025/26 are £1299

Wedding guests (up to a maximum of 14) are charged at £50 per head.

We only hold a limited number of ceremony only weddings per season, so please get in touch to check our availability.

What's Included

Venue hire of 'The Nest' for your wedding ceremony.
The Nest decor including floral Arch and hessian chair sashes.
A helpful wedding coordinator - your point of contact at any time prior to your wedding day and during your wedding.
A Champagne (or non alcoholic fizz) Toast for the wedding couple and guests (if applicable).
The Meadow Room for guests on arrival and for your Devon Cream Tea.
Devon Cream Tea for you and your guests.
The Meadows, lakes & woodland for your wedding photographs.

Optional Extras

Guests are charged at £50 each up to a maximum of up to 14 (including Champagne and a Devon cream tea).
The Meadow Room to get ready in, if required.
Afternoon Tea or buffet for your guests if required in the meadow room - with spectacular views over the countryside.
Registrar fees are paid directly to the Registration Office.
Suppliers We have a list of recommended suppliers such as photographers, florists, hairdressers and beauticians which we can provide, and you can contact them directly. (Please note we only welcome suppliers from our recommended list at Tree Top Escape).

How to Book

It would be beneficial if you could provide us with a couple of preferred wedding dates to get married.
Once you have spoken to Nicola or Bob and booked your wedding, the next stage is to contact Devon registrars. They will require you to fill in your information - you can do this HERE. Please select your Venue as Millbrook Estate (and then Tree Top Escape) Please note they will require a £50 none refundable deposit.
We strongly advise that you do not make contact with the registrars before talking to Nicola or Bob, who can explain the process in more detail.

Rose Cottage Devon

Located very near to Tree Top Escape (about a 2 minute drive) our very own luxury 5 star thatched cottage with private hot tub. Sleeps 4 (children welcome). Log burner, copper bath, full kitchen, village location.

The Stables B&B

The Stables B&B High Bickigton.

Mick and Tracey converted the old barn and stone workshop into the guest accommodation which now comprises; two lovely double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, a slate floored entrance hall and a large stunning reception room.

The Bell Inn

The Bell Inn is located in the village of Chittlehampton, less than 15 minutes from High Bickington. With a private room that can be booked for your wedding celebrations and a lovely outside area too.
