At Tree Top Escape, we understand when couples dream of a wedding day that is not only beautiful but also stress-free and intimate. That's why we've created our Ceremony-Only Wedding package, designed to provide couples with a seamless and unforgettable experience amidst the natural beauty of our venue.
This package allows couples to experience Tree Top Escape with all the little details thought of, providing the perfect stress-free day they dream of, from a list of tried and tested suppliers to simple décor within the Nest and a Champagne Devon Cream Tea for post-ceremony celebrations.
Justine, our Ceremony Only Wedding Coordinator, looks after couples in the lead up to their wedding day, as well as being there on the day to ensure everything is running smoothly. We’ve asked Justine for her top tips and advice to help couples when planning their wedding day.
What does a typical day look like for a Ceremony Only Wedding?
‘I like to arrive at TTE in advance of couples to ensure that the Nest is decorated, and the Meadow Room is ready to welcome the couple. We recommend an 11:30am ceremony, and couples arrive with us no later than 30 minutes before their wedding ceremony, to put finish touches to their outfits and to speak to the registrars. If couples are choosing to keep the tradition of not seeing each other, I ensure that there are no sneak peeks before the ceremony.
After the ceremony in the Nest, couples and their guests pop the champagne and enjoy a toast together at the Meadow Room. There is then time to enjoy the grounds with a photographer to get those all-important shots of their wedding day. Our recommended photographers really know how to maximise the time at TTE to get the best photos.
Whilst photos are being taken, I prepare the Devon Cream Tea ready to be enjoyed once everyone returns to the Meadow Room. Couples can then relax and take it all in, enjoying the beautiful views of Tree Top Escape before departing at 3pm.’

Do you have any top tips for couples?
‘Leave the stress and worry to me – it’s exactly what I’m there for, using my experience and knowledge of TTE means you don’t have to worry about anything. The weather is the one thing that none of us can control, so just embrace it and enjoy the day. It’s your wedding day, so it is going to be perfect whatever the weather.’

What is your favourite part of being a Tree Top Escape Wedding Coordinator?
‘It’s a privilege to be a part of each couple’s wedding day! I enjoy meeting couples and hearing their individual stories of how they met and the journeys to their wedding day. I also love helping with beautiful wedding dresses and helping with everything from dogs to children during ceremonies.’
Is there something couples overlook?
‘We’re a very rural venue, which is why it’s such a beautiful setting for a wedding, but couples (and their guests) sometimes forget that this means all those lovely countryside elements come with it including Devon weather. We recommend couples and guests come prepared with a change of shoes and coats. We have undercover areas but there are parts of the day that will mean walking from one area to another outdoors, so it is best to be prepared.’We always love to hear about your wedding plans, so to find out more about our intimate Ceremony Only wedding packages please get in touch on weddings@treetopescape.co.uk or call us on 01769 629069.
