Where to start planning your intimate wedding

Where to Start Planning

Many congratulations on your engagement, we are so excited for you!

Some couples may have their perfect day already in mind, others may be considering their options and some might be starting with a blank canvas. With so much to plan and so many decisions to make, it can be overwhelming and you may question where to even begin…

Where to Start Planning

Before booking your venue, consider:

*The type of wedding you want.

What are your preferences? Traditional? Religious? Intimate? Big party? Elopement? Outdoors? Barn? Beach? Festival vibes? Child Friendly? Adult only? Alternative? Commitment ceremony? Destination wedding? There are so many options nowadays to create the perfect celebration for you.

*Who you would like to celebrate with you. (Or not)

Would you like to invite family? Friends? Are there any family politics to consider? Do you want to elope? Are you likely to experience pressure from other people’s expectations regarding invites? It is useful to have a rough idea of numbers so you can choose a venue that can accommodate your requirements.

TIP: you cannot please everyone, some may be offended by your choices but we highly recommend you choose what makes you happy. It is YOUR wedding to enjoy. Your Wedding, Your Way!

Where to Start Planning

*Your financial priorities. Think about what a comfortable budget means to you. There are many elements to consider when planning a wedding - venue, wedding admin fees, food and as few or as many extras you would like.

Once you have decided on the above, you can have some fun researching venues and thinking about dates. YAY!
